Natural Hair Problems: The Struggle Is Real

Where is the natural hair community at, hey there?
The struggle is real and may be this is why it’s called a “journey.” Like anything else natural hair journey needs dedication, there is always a good and bad side of anything so really it’s not a struggle rather a challenge.

My natural hair soul sisters may agree to this, natural hair journey is almost run by this statement “BOY, DON’T TOUCH MY HAIR!”
-Boy, Don’t touch my hair (Because it’s too [INSERT REASON])
-Boy, Don’t touch my hair (Because it’s in a satin head scarf ready to bed)
-Boy, Don’t touch my hair (Because you’ll ruin my twists, I want a curly crown tomorrow)
Therefore, it brings struggle number one – missing the King cuddling with our Crowns.

So, dear Kings we love when you cuddle with our hair to sleep but just bear with our natural hair journey.
Struggle during the lazy night: “DON’T SLEEP WITH YOUR MAKE UP” that’s literally the only beauty tip Google knows and at least the popular beauty tip everyone knows before starting this healthy natural hair journey. Coming back late with your fro means “keep calm & save that fro,” unless you want to embrace shrinkage the next day.
Ooh, and how about the struggle during busy yet lazy mornings. Untwist your twists, knots etc, moisturize your fro and have an up do. Oh wow! Indeed, this is a journey. How many have turned into head wrap lovers’ because of this struggle? Talk about shining on the bad hair days.

When a shampoo is not just a shampoo! You may be far from being a product junkie but this is just part of listening to your hair, moisturizing shampoo, dandruff shampoo, dehydrated shampoo and so on – anything to pamper that crown.

If this is not a problem then I don’t know what it is then, “how do bobby pins get lost when you need them?” I leave it for you to discuss.
