We all love our friends, but there are some friends you really have to watch out for! We have the top seven things you should never accept from any friend – ever!
- A best friend who won’t celebrate your success with you
You know that friend. The one who pretends to support you but the moment you succeed in anything they won’t even be there to say congratulations. You don’t need that type of friend. Let it go.
- A best friend who isn’t there to analyse your crushes text with you.
Technically you know that you shouldn’t have sent your BFF a screenshot of the conversation with your latest crush, but how else would you know what to say? If your best friend isn’t there to help you formulate the correct response then why are you even best friends?
- A best friend who gets annoyed with your constant texting.
Let’s face it. Your best friend won’t always be around for you to text them 24/7. These are in fact the moments that true friendships are solidified. When you no longer feel ashamed that you have sent 15 texts to someone who hasn’t responded. I can tell you now, you are well on your way to a long and meaningful friendship. So go ahead and text your friend about 21 different topics even though she hasn’t responded to the first message sent three hours ago.
- A best friend who judges you.
We need to first differentiate between a friend who is concerned about you and a friend who is judgemental. There are enough people judging you in the world and your best friend does not need to be one of them. So know the difference, because if your friend is concerned about something then you may have to listen.
- A best friend that doesn’t keep your secrets.
Remember that one time you got so drunk you tried to pee in the boys bathroom standing up straight? Yeah, that is something that your friend should only remind you of when it is just the two of you in a dark room. Not when you are getting married and she is toasting to the end of your wild adventures together.
- A best friend that you can’t say whatever you want to.
Remember when the new guy walked into church today and you turned to look at each other and had a silent conversation. Yes, that wouldn’t be possible if you didn’t tell each other everything so don’t be shy.
And finally
- A best friend that isn’t there for you when you need them most.
A BFF will always make a plan.
