Swahili people (Waswahili) are ethnic and cultural group inhabiting the African Great Lakes region. Members mainly reside on the Swahili Coast, in the area encompassing the Zanzibar archipelago, Coastal Kenya, the Tanzania seaboard and northern Mozambique.
Swahili is a name derived from Arabic word ‘Sawahil’ meaning coasts.
So, the Swahili people have a way of enjoying their tea & here it is, The Swahili spiced tea.
What you need:
Milk
Tea Bags (Black)
Sugar
Vanilla
Spices: Ginger, Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Thyme, Nutmeg & Black Pepper
Process:
In a pot with your fresh milk add all your spices & ingredients including sugar & tea bags. Let it boil until it’s ready to be served.
You may also enjoy this refreshing Swahili spiced without adding milk into it, therefore, use water instead of Milk.
