Each week we get the opportunity to hear and share inspiring stories of friendship, sisterhood and love. This week story is by Eguono Ponius and Stacie Reeves. They have been friends for 21 years and both come from Michigan.Eguono’s story:
We met through Stacie’s cousin Erica. I had always seen her in passing. I used to always think, “wow she’s so pretty. She looks like a model.” We finally met and we clicked instantly. Stacee was always so pleasant and kind. There are so many things that can define our friendship, but what really makes our friendship so strong is our honesty between each other.
We keep it real with each other. Even if it seems like the conversation or the issue we may have would be uncomfortable to discuss we still tell each other the truth. The good, the bad and the ugly. I truly believe that’s what sets our friendship apart from others. We are by no means near perfect friends. Stacee and I disagree at times and have gotten on each others nerves but I respect that she DOESN’T act funny. We respectfully disagree if something arises. I would define our friendship today as unique and original and most of all rare. I can talk to her about anything. She’s very generous and she loves to see others succeed. Simply put we love each other.
