In 2013, friends Joanna, Korynthia, and Katricia founded Type 4 Naturals to inspire women through their own natural hair journey while sharing life experiences. On Saturday, May 14th, they hosted their first event dedicated to educating and informing moms and their mini-me about their natural hair.

Attendees enjoyed hair tutorials, vision board arts, and crafts, face painting, hors d’oeuvres, raffle prizes, vendors and entertainment. Their event was sponsored by and included swag bag samples from Smarty Pants Vitamins, Ausha Monae FCA Naturals, Crème of Nature, Doo Gro, Uncle Funky’s Daughter and Hot Head by Thermal Hair Care, Be Bonafide Magazine, Wesley Styles NYC, and FaceArtByMelissa.com.

You can follow Type 4 Naturals on Instagram @Type4Naturals and on Facebook and also visit their website: Type4Naturals.com.
