Robert Smith is best known as the founder of private equity shop, Vista Equity Partners. Primarily known for fixing enterprise software outfits, Vista’s work has propelled Smith to the elite echelon of African-American billionaires. Now, The Network Journal reports that Smith is flexing his financial muscle by offering to sponsor the education of 24 girls from the Chibok community in Nigeria. This includes 21 girls that escaped from Boko Haram captivity in October of 2016.
