Founders Daishawn Franklin and Crystal Bailey hosted another successful WALK Fashion Show in Detroit this past Sunday, May 22 at the trendy Eastern Market. While Detroit has been given a bad rep in the past, positivity reigns with events like WALK, that showcase the amazing talent from the city.
The show was an all day event, with over 30 designers showing their designs in 3 different runway shows: the Walk University Children’s Showcase, Emerging Designer Showcase and Independent Designer Showcase all exhibiting inspiring collections from local designers and entrepreneurs. Attendees and VIP guests had the opportunity to see designs by local designers and support vendors and sponsors during the show.
Detroit’s favorite TV personality appearances included Jennifer McMahan from “What’s Up Detroit on WMYD Channel 20, who was a model for Voodoo Couture and Maurielle Lue from WJBK Fox 2 TV who was the co-host/MC of the Independent Designer Showcase
WALK Fashion Show: Detroit marks the 13 edition of the largest show in the Midwest and continues its next show to Atlanta on June 25th. For more info on tickets, vendor space, and sponsorship packages, visit http://www.walkfashionshow.com
